Bio

Floyd Nathaniel Hills, professionally known as Danja, is an American record producer and songwriter from Virginia Beach.

He played the drums and piano in his early teens, then in 2000 took the opportunity to work with producer and singer Teddy Riley on Blackstreet's fourth album, ‘Level II’. Danja met the eminent producer Timbaland in 2001, then joined him two years later to collaborate at his Miami studio.

2006 was a pivotal year for Danja, co-producing massive hits by Justin Timberlake, Nelly Furtado, Timbaland, Katharine McPhee, and Björk. The following year saw him produce seven tracks on Britney Spears’ album ‘Blackout’.

Since then, he has amassed an extensive catalog of solo-produced singles for premium artists including Usher, Keri Hilson, T.I., Ciara, Mariah Carey, Madonna, Whitney Houston, Missy Elliott, M.I.A., JoJo, Simple Plan, Pink, Duran Duran, T-Pain, Diddy, and Meek Mill.

Danja boasts a number of Billboard #1 singles, multiple Grammy awards as a producer, and SESAC awards as a songwriter. He remains to be one of the most sought-after writers and producers in pop music today.
