Bio

After completing a 4 year enlistment with the US Marines, Josh decided to pursue a career in the music industry. Following studies at Full Sail, an internship at Track Record, and an assistant engineering position at the Record Plant, Gudwin spent two years honing his craft under the wing of top vocal producer Kuk Harrell. He soon became an eminent vocal producer and mixer in his own right, amassing credits with major label artists including Rihanna, Justin Bieber, Dua Lipa, J. Balvin, Jennifer Lopez, Skrillex, Rita Ora and Post Malone.

One of Gudwin's four Grammy nominations was for his remix of Latin pop smash hit ‘Despacito’ by Luis Fonsi & Daddy Yankee featuring Justin Bieber. Using only a laptop, audio interface, headphones and a bluetooth speaker, Gudwin re-arranged and mixed the whole song while travelling. This is a testament to his digital mixing and production skills, which he can employ under intense deadline pressures in challenging environments.

In 2017 and 2018, he won three Latin Grammy awards for mixing albums by J Balvin and Juanes.

In 2019, he was awarded the 'Best Dance Recording' Grammy for mixing 'Electricity' by Silk City featuring Dua Lipa.
