Coming to you from the prestigious Conway Recording Studios in Hollywood, Andrés Torres and Mauricio Rengifo revisit the creation of the single ‘11 Razones’ by Aitana! The writing and production duo, renowned for their work on Latin pop hits, recount the exciting challenge of tackling a genre outside of their norm. They discuss the objectives of the record in terms of arrangement and sonic aesthetic, and share the steps taken to achieve the early 2000s pop-punk style they revelled in as teenagers.
Andrés and Mauricio explain how the recording process occurred through online collaboration with the artist, giving rationales behind their composition and arrangement decisions. Further to writing and tracking, they show the Pro Tools session and reveal the treatment applied to the material.
