PRIVACY POLICY
1. SCOPE OF THIS PRIVACY POLICY
1.1 Mix with the Masters (“MWTM”), a subsidiary of MAVEN S.A.R.L., offers subscription-based access to tutorial videos (“Videos”), consulting, webinars, and one-day seminars (collectively “Services”) with Professional Sound Engineers, Mixers, and Producers (“Masters”) affiliated with MWTM. This policy describes how MWTM will use the personal information collected when you visit the MWTM website and mobile platform (“Platforms”) that contain a link to this privacy policy. This privacy policy does not apply to websites, applications, or mobile platforms that are not linked to this privacy policy or to those operated by third parties. We encourage you to review the privacy policies posted on those websites, applications and mobile platforms. For the purposes of this privacy policy only, Services will also include the weeklong seminars.
2. COLLECTION OF INFORMATION
2.1The Platforms collect information directly from your input. The types of information the Platforms collect directly from you may include the following as well as any other information type that MWTM expressly asks you to enter and submit to the Platform:
2.1(a) contact information, such as your name, email address, and telephone number;
2.1(b) usernames and passwords;
2.1(c) educational and employment background;
2.1(d) payment information, such as a credit card;
2.1(e) comments and feedback;
2.1(f) interests and communication preferences; and
2.1(g) projects uploaded for consultations with Masters.
2.2 The Platforms collect information automatically through the Platforms’ technologies. Examples of information collected automatically include:
2.2(a) Internet Protocol ("IP") address used to connect your computer to the Internet;
2.2(b) computer, device, and connection information, such as browser type and version, operating system, mobile platform and unique device identifier (“UDID”) and other technical identifiers; and
2.2(c) Uniform Resource Locator ("URL") clickstream data, including date and time, and content you viewed or searched for on a Platform.
2.3 The Platforms may also automatically collect information through the use of cookies or similar technologies, such as web beacons.
2.3(a) Cookies are small text files that a website sends to the browser on your computer or mobile device when you first visit a web page so that the website can recognize your device the next time you visit. Most websites typically use the following:
2.3(a)(i) “Session” cookies, which are temporary and deleted when you close your browser;
2.3(a)(ii) “Persistent” cookies, which remain until you delete them or they expire; and
2.3(a)(iii) Web beacons, which are electronic images also known as single-pixel gifs.
2.3(b) In general, cookies, web beacons and similar technologies do not contain personally identifiable information, but when you furnish your personal information through the Platforms, this information may be linked to the non-personally identifiable data stored in cookies sent to your browser from the Platform.
2.3(c) MWTM uses these technologies for various purposes, including: facilitating the login process; administering, customizing and improving the Platforms; personalizing the browsing experience; and tracking and analyzing user preferences and trends.
2.3(d) There are a number of ways to manage cookies. You may refer to the “help” on the toolbar of most browsers to find out how to stop accepting cookies, how to be notified when you receive a new browser cookie, and how to disable existing browser cookies. However, if you block cookies, you may not be able to register login, or make full use of the Platforms. You can also use your mobile device’s settings to manage the available privacy options.
2.4 MTWM may use and disclose automatically collected information for any purpose, except where MWTM is restricted by applicable law. If MWTM combines any automatically collected information with personal information, the combined information will be treated by MWTM as personal information. MWTM may also use aggregated information for any purpose, however, this information does not identify specific individuals and so is not personal information.
3. USE OF YOUR PERSONAL INFORMATION
3.1 MWTM uses the personal information collected through the Platforms to complete various actions:
3.1(a) to assist you in completing a transaction or order;
3.1(b) to provide and improve service and support;
3.1(c) to update you on new Videos and Services;
3.1(d) to contact you regarding current Videos and Services;
3.1(e) for data analysis, audits, developing new products, enhancing the Service identifying usage trends and determining the effectiveness of MWTM promotional campaigns, or in other ways to which you have expressly agreed in a customer agreement with MWTM;
3.1(f) to prevent and detect security threats, fraud or other malicious activity; and
3.1(g) to comply with MWTM’s legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce MWTM’s agreements.
3.2 MWTM may on occasion also match or combine the personal information that you provide with information obtained from other sources or that is already in MWTM’s records, whether collected online or offline, for the purposes described above.
4. SHARING OR DISCLOSING YOUR PERSONAL INFORMATION
4.1 Your personal information may be accessible to any officer, director, employee, subcontractor, or agent of MWTM.
4.2 Your personal information may be accessible to MWTM service providers. These providers include, for example, credit card processors and IT service providers.
4.3 MWTM may share personal Information with other third parties if MWTM expressly told you about such potential disclosure at the point at which you submitted the Information to MWTM.
4.4 MWTM may share personal information in order to: (i) respond to or comply with any law, regulation, subpoena or court order; (ii) investigate and help prevent security threats, fraud or other malicious activity; (iii) enforce and protect the rights and properties of MWTM; or (iv) protect the rights or personal safety of MWTM’s employees and third parties on or using our property.
4.5 If MWTM and/or the Platforms are acquired by, transferred to or merged with another company, your personal information may be disclosed to the prospective or actual purchasers.
5. CHILDREN’S PRIVACY
5.1 MWTM does not knowingly collect information from children under the age of 13 and MWTM does not target its website to children under 13.
6. SELECTING YOUR PRIVACY PREFERENCES
6.1 You can manage available communications preferences when you register with the relevant Platform by updating your account preferences, or, where applicable, by using the “opt-out” or unsubscribe mechanism or other means provided within the communications that you receive.
6.2 Users are able to delete their information from the MWTM databases through the user settings page.
6.3 MWTM reserves the right to notify you of changes or updates to the Platforms whenever necessary.
7. ACCESS AND ACCURACY OF YOUR PERSONAL INFORMATION
7.1 The Platforms allow registered users to access their registration information and make corrections or updates through the user’s account. The accuracy of such information is solely the responsibility of the user. No access is given to other data that may have been collected about users.
7.2 To protect your privacy and security, MWTM requires a password to access your account. However, it is your responsibility to create and maintain the security of your password.
8. DATA SECURITY
8.1 MWTM uses a variety of data security measures intended to ensure the confidentiality and integrity of your personal information.
8.2 No data transmission can be guaranteed to be secure, and MWTM does not warrant the security of any information you transmit to MWTM.
9. CHANGES TO PRIVACY POLICY
9.1 If MWTM modifies this privacy policy, MWTM will post the revised version here, with an updated revision date.
10. CROSS-BORDER TRANSFER OF PERSONAL INFORMATION
10.1 Your personal information may be transferred to other countries for processing, and by using the Platform you consent to the transfer of information to countries outside of your country of residence, which may have different personal data protection rules than in your country.
