Chromeo’s David “Dave 1” Macklovich and Patrick “P-Thugg” Gemayel have turned an inseparable childhood friendship into a musical career that grows stronger than ever in its second decade, launching them from Montreal basements to the main stage at Coachella. Their 5th LP Head Over Heels came out in 2018 to critical acclaim, a Grammy nomination and two years’ worth of sold-out shows across the globe. In June 2020, the duo released their Quarantine Casanova EP at the height of the Black Lives Matter protests. Chromeo donated all proceeds from the EP’s digital downloads, vinyl and merch to Know Your Rights Camp’s COVID Relief Fund. In May 2020, they launched their own label, Juliet Records. In 2021, Dave and Pee unearthed recordings from their last headline (and first full band backed) run, an epic set of dates that included Red Rocks Amphitheatre, The Greek Theatre in Oakland and the Hollywood Bowl. The duo meticulously sorted through the best versions of each song and released their first live album, Date Night: Chromeo Live!
