Bio

Colin Pink is a British live sound engineer, sound designer, and project manager with numerous awards and over thirty years of experience.

His foray into sound began in high school, where he developed a passion for the technical aspects of theatre and performance. After graduating from the Guildhall School of Music and Drama, Pink spent about a decade working at The National theatre in London. He became the sound supervisor at The Olivia stage, and honed his craft in theatre sound design before eventually going freelance.

Colin Pink has spent years touring the world as a Front of House engineer for musical icons including Hans Zimmer, José Carreras, Plácido Domingo, Herbie Hancock, Lang Lang, and Katherine Jenkins. He has regularly been the sound designer for the Brit Awards, and also the live sound supervisor the MTV Europe Music Awards and BBC Music Awards. Pink was also head of the live sound operating team for the 2012 Olympic Games.

Aside from live music events, Colin is still very much active in theatre design. He has worked on numerous Derren Brown shows, The King and I, Fiddler on the Roof, Les Misérables, The Full Monty, Anything Goes, Ragtime, Closer, and Chicago, to name but a few!
