Larry Klein is a multiple Grammy award-winning musician, songwriter and record producer from southern California. His early career was primarily focussed on performance, as a bass guitarist with jazz and Latin groups during college. He later appeared on a wide assortment of records in the mid-70’s and early 80’s, working with a diverse range of artists including Dianne Reeves, Bobby McFerrin, Robbie Robertson, and Neil Diamond. Klein’s work with Robertson led to other collaborations with a host of gound-breaking rock musicians such as Don Henley, Bob Dylan, Bryan Adams, Joni Mitchell, Tracy Chapman, Peter Gabriel, Randy Newman and Warren Zevon. Klein has performed on most of his production efforts, and has also worked as a composer, music producer and performer on many films. He has played on numerous scores and movie soundtracks, beginning with Martin Scorsese’s “Raging Bull” in 1980.
