Mandy Parnell is a British audio mastering engineer who has garnered an impressive discography since the 1980s. She has worked on projects by a wide variety of artists including Aphex Twin, The XX, Sigur Ros, Bjork, The Knife, Frightened Rabbit, Brian Eno, Dido, UNKLE, Fever Ray, Judas Priest, and Feist. She studied music and music technology throughout her school, college and university years. After finishing her training at the SAE Institute, she landed an internship at The Exchange mastering studios in London. She later worked for Electric Mastering, then launched her own mastering studio, Black Saloon. She has been nominated for and won awards from societies that include the MPG, Grammy, and TEC. She is also an active member of the AES, Grammy, APRS and MPG, and lectures on mastering and the music industry across the globe.
