Marcella Araica is an American recording and mixing engineer from Miami, Florida.
Her foray into music production began in high school, where she began to spend time with aspiring hip-hop artists and taught herself how to make beats using Cakewalk software. After school, she completed an audio engineering program at Full Sail university and graduated at the top of her class.
Marcella’s professional career began in March 2002, when she landed a position at Hit Factory studios. She was mentored by engineers Jimmy Douglass and Demacio Castellon during her time there, assisting on sessions until she became a full-time engineer at the studio.
In 2008, Araica teamed up with record producer Danja to launch an independent music label called N.A.R.S. (New Age Rock Stars) Records. In 2014, the pair opened a state-of-the-art facility in Miami called Dream Asylum studios.
Throughout her exciting career, Marcella Araica has built an impressive list of credits that includes Jennifer Lopez, Chris Brown, Monica, Meek Mill, M.I.A., Jason Derulo, Kid Ink, Missy Elliot, Madonna, Snoop Dogg, Nelly Furtado, Mariah Carey, Timbaland, Christina Aguilera, Wyclef Jean, Usher, Keri Hilson, and Pink.
