Olivia Rodrigo

Bio

Olivia Rodrigo is a singer, songwriter, and multi-instrumentalist from Temecula, California. She started voice lessons in kindergarten, then took up piano, and was playing guitar by 12. She acted on Disney Channel's Bizaardvark and then Disney+'s High School Musical: The Musical: The Series, where she also wrote original songs. In 2020 she signed with Interscope and Geffen. Her debut single ‘drivers license’ entered the Billboard Hot 100 at number one in January 2021. Her next two singles also debuted in the Top Ten, making her the first artist in the chart's history to do so with each of her first three singles.

Rodrigo works closely with producer Dan Nigro, who co-wrote her debut album, SOUR (2021), and produced its follow-up, GUTS (2023), in his garage studio. SOUR combined pop, alt-rock, and folk, and its release earned her three Grammy Awards, including Best New Artist. GUTS topped charts in the United States, the UK, and a dozen other countries, and was nominated for Album of the Year. Her third album, ‘you seem pretty sad for a girl so in love’, followed in June 2026, preceded by her fourth U.S. number one, "Drop Dead." Rodrigo and Nigro have been named ASCAP Pop Songwriters of the Year twice.
