Tor Erik Hermansen is the co-founder of Stargate, a prolific record producing and songwriting team. Working alongside Mikkel Storleer Eriksen, Tor has been a driving force behind an array of massive hits in the genres of pop, hip-hop, and R&B. Stargate was established in 1996 in Trondheim, Norway. The duo broke into the American recording industry in 2001 with the release of 'One Night Stand' by Mis-Teeq, which peaked within the Top 5 of the Billboard Dance Charts. In 2006, Stargate had their first Hot 100 number one single, 'So Sick', performed by Ne-Yo. They relocated to Los Angeles and have worked on multiple chart-topping singles, notably Beyoncé's 'Irreplaceable' and 'Firework' by Katy Perry. Other artists written for and produced include Michael Jackson, Mariah Carey, Lionel Richie, Wiz Khalifa, Britney Spears, Rihanna, Selena Gomez, Celine Dion, Janet Jackson, Shakira, Jennifer Lopez, Sam Smith, Mary J. Blige, Coldplay, P!nk, Sia, Whitney Houston, Chris Brown, Khalid, Charli XCX, and many others.
