He means that he "prints" it i.e. locks its down directly so it's exactly how the plug-in responds to it. In ableton it's the equiv. of "freeze & flatten". Hope that helps :)

Yeah I think it changes the formants quite a lot of the vocal... depends ofc on the kind of vocal :) but i would expect an airy vocal like Chappels to change quite a bit so im intrigued :))

Thanks a lot Dan!! Loved this... I'm still a bit chocked that you could record the vocal in 120 and then lower the bpm to 116? I'm in ableton and use complex pro (I believe the same algoritm you mentioned in pro tools) but I don't feel I can do that with vocals.. hmm would be curious to figure that out! <3 Anyway GREAT videos huge thanks!!
