About me

Sloppy grooves, wobbly tapes and haunting echoes - Silverhours is a London based project, exploring the territory of musical imperfections and happy accidents. Taking inspiration from the geometry of musical rhythms, dark sound of Boards of Canada and Portishead, old VHS tapes and Korean movies, Silverhours debut LP, Madeleine Moment, was recorded during the lockdown. Its cinematic mood and hazy atmosphere are echoing the anxiety and information overload of today's world. The album was mixed by Shuta Shinoda (Ghostpoet, Hot Chip, Pozi) and mastered by John Davis (Damon Albarn, Gorillaz) at Metropolis Studios. Collaborators on the LP include Clive Deamer (Portishead, Radiohead) and Alex Thomas (Anna Calvi) on drums, and Olugbenda Adelekan (Metronomy) and Timothy Lefebvre (David Bowie) on the bass guitar. The lead single, DOLDRUMS, comes paired with a moving video, directed by Craig McLaughlin. Shot in two iconic London locations - Alexandra and Ainsworth estate and Wapping Hydraulic Power Station this video depicts the story of love and struggle, a rush of memories from the old past.
