Description
After years mixing on his trusted SSL console, Jaycen Joshua has gone fully in the box. In this new series, the multi-platinum engineer demonstrates his all-new digital workflow by taking us inside the mix of a brand-new single by C. Tangana.
Composed as an anthem for one of Spain’s most celebrated football clubs, the track is packed full of striking group vocals, explosive percussion and a supercharged low-end designed to make stadiums shake.
In this 4-part series, Jaycen works his way through the song’s dense arrangement and showcases the steps he took to bring the artist’s vision to life. He dives into the inner workings of his mixing workflow, offering expert techniques for compression, equalization and harmonic excitement. He even shares his signature ‘low-end theory’, a novel approach that allows him to achieve clarity, power and punch all the way down to the lowest frequencies.
