Description

Watch world-renowned mixer Jaycen Joshua test the boundaries of his signature mixing workflow. In this series, Jaycen deconstructs his work on ‘Take Me Back To London’ by Ed Sheeran and Stormzy, demonstrating how he translates his signature transients and low-end to the world of UK grime.

Jaycen dives in with a quick recap of his template and gain staging methods. He runs through his in-the-box mixing set up, illustrating how he adapts his workflow to accommodate different genres and audiences. He then digs deeper into his engineering toolkit, exploring advanced concepts such as adaptive limiting, attack and release times, harmonics, psychoacoustics, and much more.

For viewers unfamiliar with Jaycen’s template and/or techniques, we recommend revisiting one of his previous video workshops for additional information and guidance.
