He states the goals of the project, discusses pre-production, and takes you through the entire setup for tracking the band. Chiccarelli shares his microphone preferences and placement techniques applied for recording live drums, electric bass and guitar, Mellotron, and vocals. After recording the band live, he tracks doubled parts and overdubs where necessary, then captures the vocal.
