Andrew Watt is a Grammy Award-winning producer and songwriter from Long Island, New York. He began his career as a session guitarist, performing in bars and clubs around New York City. His reputation as a player soon led to international tours with Jared Evan and Cody Simpson, before he co-founded the acclaimed rock supergroup California Breed with Glenn Hughes and Jason Bonham.
During this period, Watt began developing his work as a songwriter and producer. His breakthrough came in 2016 with his first major cut, “Let Me Love You” by DJ Snake and Justin Bieber. A string of hits followed, including the number-one singles “Havana” by Camila Cabello, “Seven” by Jung Kook, and “Die With a Smile” by Lady Gaga, among many others.
Alongside his work with chart-topping pop artists, Watt has become a sought-after producer for some of the biggest names in rock. His production discography includes “Ordinary Man” and “Patient Number 9” by Ozzy Osbourne, “Hackney Diamonds” by The Rolling Stones, “Dark Matter” by Pearl Jam, and “The Boys of Dungeon Lane” by Paul McCartney.
In 2021, Watt won the Grammy Award for Producer of the Year, Non-Classical. He has since added Grammy wins for Best Rock Album and Best Pop Vocal Album, further cementing his reputation as one of the most versatile producers working today.
