Bio
Stuart White is a recording and mixing engineer from North Carolina.
At ten years old, he took an interest in bouncing tracks between a double tape deck and a karaoke machine. As a teen, he DJ’d obsessively and experimented with a sampler and an eight-track recorder. At age twenty-two, he graduated from Full Sail University in Florida and moved to New York, where he was hired by Quad Studios.
Over the following decade, White worked alongside highly-regarded engineers Russell Elevado and Ann Mincieli, and was hired as the personal engineer of Alicia Keys’ producer Kerry ‘Krucial’ Brothers. In 2010, he took the position of main house engineer at Mincieli’s newly opened Jungle City Studios in New York.
In 2012, he became the full-time engineer of R&B megastar Beyoncé. While the majority of his work has since been on her projects, his credit list still includes impressive names like Sia, Nicki Minaj, FKA Twigs, Boots, Solange, Nas, Mary J Blige, and Autolux.
