Timbaland is a multiple Grammy Award-winning record producer, rapper, singer, songwriter and DJ from Virginia, USA.
His first full-credit production work was in 1996 for the debut album of R&B artist Ginuwine; Within the following two years, he garnered further attention from his work on records by Missy Elliott and Aaliyah, as well as his debut solo album, 'Tim's Bio’. In 2002, Timbaland produced the hit single 'Cry Me a River' for Justin Timberlake, and went on to produce most of Timberlake's subsequent releases.
Throughout the 2000s, Timbaland has amassed production credits with chart-topping artists including Jay-Z, Beyoncé, Kanye West, Nelly Furtado, Sam Smith, Coldplay, Madonna, Alicia Keys, 50 Cent, Shakira, Nas, Ludacris, Keri Hilson, Madonna, Rihanna, OneRepublic, Drake, Rick Ross, and many others. In 2007, he released a solo album, 'Shock Value', which was followed by 'Shock Value II' in 2009.
Timbaland is also the CEO of Mosley Music Group, a record label that he founded in 2006.
