I really need to know if the C DRUM M bus is connected to anything? i know its a parallel bus but is it also connect to the all dum bus or is it disconnected and only used to send the signal to the orignal C Drum bus. It would be cool if this could be explained more when they are doing these live talks

It is a master for the C drum bus... so it just works as a bus going to a bus.

Thanks for the reply so is the output connected ? is the drums going into both C Drums and C Drum M ? is the C Drum M connected to anything? is it C drum M send to the C Drums? would you be able to explain this to a real newb

What DAW do you use? Will be easier to explain that way, but C Drum M bus's output goes to C Drums

I made comprehensive notes and screenshots from this video and you can pretty much replicate the template from scratch. Definitely great to test drive some of the plug in settings he uses on your own tracks.

Very impressive class. I learned a lot. Jumped into Logic and tested some of the techniques and set ups as I was watching. Thankfully I had many of the same Plugins. "Transients are the key" was my favourite quote.

To anyone confused (because I was at first)... the Drums get sent to a Pro Tools Master fader AND an Aux at the same time. Pro Tools Master Faders work very different than other DAWS. so now if you have both a Master fader and an Aux fader receiving the same input the signal path goes as follows pertaining to his routing... each Drum track goes to the C Drums M through the Inserts then to the C Drums Aux and processed from there to his drums and bass aux

I'm still a little confused. I'm clear on the individual drum tracks going through to C Drums Aux then to Drums and Bass Aux, but what about C Drums M? What is its input and where does it get routed to? I know its output goes to C Drums, so would it just be sent there though an Aux (from the individual drum tracks) and sent to C Drums? I use Logic so I'm trying to figure out this routing

If you take a kick as an example... It would be Kick > C drums M > C drums Bus > drum and bass bus
