Bio
Jon Castelli is a 15x GRAMMY-nominated mix engineer based in Downtown Los Angeles. After starting out engineering for small bands in NYC, he relocated to Los Angeles and began working under mentor Tony Maserati. Jon has since become one of the industry’s top mixers, collaborating with artists including SZA, Billie Eilish, Khalid, Halsey, Harry Styles, The Kid LAROI, Nicki Minaj, 6LACK, Summer Walker, Ariana Grande, Leon Bridges, RAYE, Omar Apollo, Camila Cabello, Tate McRae, FINNEAS, Lil Nas X, FKA Twigs, SAILORR, James Blake, Dave, and more. Jon earned a GRAMMY nomination for Record of the Year in 2019 for mixing Khalid’s hit “Talk,” and won Best Progressive R&B Album for his work on SZA’s SOS in 2022. Recent projects include Billie Eilish’s GRAMMY-nominated HIT ME HARD AND SOFT, Camila Cabello’s C,XOXO, and Omar Apollo’s God Said No.
For the upcoming 2026 GRAMMY Awards, Jon is nominated for Best Engineered Album (Non-Classical) for Cam’s All Things Light, as well as Record of the Year for Billie Eilish’s “WILDFLOWER” and Best Dance/Electronic Album for FKA Twigs’ EUSEXUA. Jon operates out of his studio, The Gift Shop, in the Arts District, where he also records his podcast ‘Conversations’.
