Bio
Daniel Davies is a Los Angeles-based guitarist and composer. Born in London, he is the son of Kinks guitarist Dave Davies and spent much of his childhood touring with his father’s band. He later fronted the hard rock group Year Long Disaster and collaborated with stoner rock band Karma to Burn.
His first foray into film scoring came in 1998, when he contributed to John Carpenter’s ‘Vampires’. He played a key role on ‘Lost Themes’ (2015) and has since helped shape the sound of Carpenter’s scores for ‘Halloween’, ‘Halloween Kills’, ‘Halloween Ends’, and ‘Firestarter’. His solo albums include ‘Events Score’, ‘Signals’, and ‘Ghost of the Heart’.
