One of the best Video from CLA over here, he shows everything, his approach is stellar and crystal clear... being in the box he's able to show every single details of how he process every single track, the philosophy making routing... for all of us who are not able to work with an SSL console, this is pure gold. The other videos from him over here, you miss a lot of details of what he's doing, what kind of EQ, which frequencies, which kind of compressors, balancing, fader movements... that's impossible to see in the other videos of him working in analog that are over here. Can't catch the eq values on his console, the settings on his outboard... very happy to watch this one!

The technical subtitles are very welcome! The only suggestion it would be to put more subtitiles of the inserts and close screenshots of the units when Chris inserts an outboard unit and also a close up screenshot in the console when he made critical moves. Kudos to the MWTM team!

Distressors are inserted on Kick and Snare drum but seems not engaged in the SSL console, so no relevant to the final mix result in this case. The Kick is barely compressing but the Snare is compressed pretty hard. Please note the most important fact is the CHARACTER that unit imprints alongside the compression, mostly if the 2nd or 3rd order harmonics are engaged... don't forget it's a distorsion/compressor unit actually (that's why it's named Dist-ressor). It's a magic tool to get instant vibe on your tracks!

I would strongly suggest to have the possibility to download the audio file "pre" and "post" the mastering stage. This would be of immeasurable worth to understand all of the mastering engineer moves...
